Split - CROATIA - 26.06.2013 -- Croatia's biggest shipyard Brodosplit was sold for 1 Kuna as a part of a privatization of the country's shipbuilding industry. The EU membership process of Croatia has led to many reforms of the economy and industry of the ex-yugoslavian country. Privatization of the shipyards in Croatia was one of these last reforms that the country was going through before they entered the European Union 1st of July 2013. A third of the workforce, some 1400 workers, had to go as part of the privatization process. Zdenko (left) is a Bosnian man working as a metal wroker at the shipyard.
